Verizon, AT&T Reach “Map for That” Ceasefire
Maybe cooler heads finally prevailed in the recent tit-for-tat spat between AT&T and Verizon Wireless. It’s been announced that the two companies have agreed to drop lawsuits each have against each other. Time to move on.
The snit between the two seems to have started when Verizon sued AT&T over which company was truly America’s most reliable. AT&T then took umbrage Verizon’s “Map for That” campaign, which showed just how puny AT&T’s 3G coverage was in relation to Verizon’s.
It doesn’t appear that part of the deal was Verizon’s dropping it’s claim to ‘superior’ 3G coverage. The smack-down over which of the two has America’s most reliable coverage, unfortunately, remains unsettled.
