With 3-D technology expected to be the next buzz in home entertainment, consumer electronics companies like Sony are bracing themselves for it. The Japanese company has signed a technology licensing agreement with RealD, which specializes in 3-D technology.  According to a Wall Street Journal report, Sony will license 3-D “technology and equipment, such as 3-D eyewear, which can be used with Sony TV screens and other equipment.” The agreement does not bind RealD to Sony and the former remains free to license its technology to other companies.
